CFIR · Seed grants
Seed grants.
Capital to build what was planned. Entrepreneurs who finish the Incubator apply for a seed grant themselves, and YEDI’s venture fund — which CFIR funds — awards it.
How a seed grant is got.
The Incubator certificate ends at the Venture Fair, where the cohort presents what it has built. The application goes to YEDI’s venture fund afterwards, on the entrepreneur’s own initiative, and the fund decides. Grants are awarded in varying amounts to the founders ready to incorporate and build, and the company stays theirs.
In the year ended 31 October 2025 the Foundation committed $18,000 to that fund, and the fund awarded two grants from it.
Where to start.
A seed grant follows one programme. The way to it is the Incubator certificate, and applications are at yedi.ca↗.
